World-first optical fiber laser promises to revolutionalise detection of gases

Miriad Technologies are extremely grateful to have been part of an international research collaboration; between Macquarie University (Australia) and McGill University (Canada).  The research, lead by Dr. Darren Hudson, resulted in a >2 octave super continuum generation based on an ultrafast mid-IR fiber laser. We provided support towards the development of the laser system using our Miriad S3 spectrometers, which allowed real-time optimisation of the generated supercontinuum. We thank everyone in the research for allowing us to contribute towards a small part of their work. We hope the development of the Miriad S3 Spectrometer will further aid researchers in this field.
